Default 8v batteries read .3 volts

So I was able to charge one of the batteries to 4v but other five batteries read .3 volts. I’m trying to charge them one at a time, but even my 12v charger set at 2a says they are too low for it to charge them???
Anyone else have this issue? Batteries are just over a year old and unfortunately my customer did not charge the cart over the winter at all.

You could use car jumper cables from a "not dead" cart, just be careful to connect correctly. That would allow you to get a golf cart charger started on it.

I've gotten chargers to start by charging 2 batteries run parallel: Cable two batteries, one "good" and one dead, + to + and - to - just like jump starting a car. Hook your 12 volt charger to the dead battery while it's still hooked t the other battery. The charger will see the voltage of the good battery and turn on. Most will continue to charge the dead battery if you disconnect the good one after the charge cycle has started. Same concept can be done with the whole 48 volt pack, but it takes having a spare 48 volt pack to jump it with.

OP mentioned "my customer", suggesting they work on carts. So probably have another cart around.

So I can take two 8v batteries. One good and one dead. Put jumper cables on the two then put my 2a 12v charger to them?

You ain't got no "good" batteries. They're deader than @#$%^.

If they sat like that for weeks/months, it's unlikely you'll be able to get any kind of run time. Sorry care and maintenance will be an expensive lesson, once the owner has to buy all new batts.

Yes, but as yurtle suggests the good battery should actually be "good" (around 8.4 volts) - certainly better than your 4 volt best of the lot so far.
