Brake light question
Hooking up a light kit on my 98 g19, where do I tie in the brake wire? Didn't get instructions with the kit just a wiring diagram which just says hook red wire to brake switch.

Re: Brake light question
First you have to install the brake switch. They didn't come with one, unless factory lights were installed.

Re: Brake light question
I pulled my hair out trying to get (aftermarket harness)brake lights to work on my g19When I opened harness to trace brake light wire it ended up going to the front of cart.somewhere..Ended up hardwiring it .In hindsight should have bought factory light kit.

Re: Brake light question
Well it already had a light kit installed at one time. When I bought it the lights were there but the harness had been pulled so I'm assuming it has whatever switch is required I just need to find it

Re: Brake light question
If you pull up the rubber floor mat, there is a real nice access panel.

Re: Brake light question
Yeah I've got the access panel off thanks, I just dont see a switch anywhere it's just really wierd it had to have brake lights to be on the road (which it was) when I got it. I have the harness there's no switch in it and there's no switch (that I can see) on the brake pedal assembly. Where does the switch mount?

Re: Brake light question
I appreciate the feedback I thought about doing a pad switch but ended up fabricating a bracket and using a motorcycle spring type switch instead.
