Back up Beeper Location
Does anyone know where the back up beeper is located on a 2002 EZGO PDS 36V? It sounds like it is behind the dash, but does anyone know exactly where? Thanks.
PS: Any ideas of how to dampen the volume? |

Re: Back up Beeper Location
It is behind the key plate. I put a piece of gorilla tape over it and it makes it SOOOO much quieter but not to the point where it can’t be heard.

Can you take a pic of it and post it? I have no idea what it would even look like. Hahaha

Re: Back up Beeper Location
I can’t get you a picture right now but I’m sure someone else has one.
If you take the 2 screws out that hold the key and F/R switch plate out it can be removed. Look in the hole and to the right and you will see a black round device with 2 wires coming out of it. That’s the beeper. The “speaker” is on the bottom. If you reach in and cover it while it is beeping you will hear the sound get quieter. Super easy...10 minutes tops![emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Back up Beeper Location
There is a thin plastic flexible "fire wall" (using automotive terminology) that is held in place by the front emblem. I reach up that way, as it's easier than opening the dash.
I replaced my emblem with wing-nuts, making it easy to remove and replace. The original fasteners aren't really made to be reused. |

Re: Back up Beeper Location
I was able to access mine by popping out the drink holders with a small screwdriver. That on a 2012 txt. If that helps.

Re: Back up Beeper Location
Yeah, I read about that. Never removed mine, and mine may be different.
