It was installed years ago by a neighbor from used parts. I just recently acquired the cart.

Front springs are definitely sagging or the wrong springs. With the stock spindles the tie rods would still hit the springs on that cart. The Jake's spindles aren't the problem.

Agree! Wrong springs. "I" totally used wrong springs on mine, it caused several problems. (Your issue was only one of the problems it caused for me). My cart looked like a rail dragster, with a long frontend. In my case, that problem was caused by my bro hitting a concrete post, and he brought it back "already fixed" with the wrong springs. I kinda liked the new look, but steering issues were abound after that.

If you could imagine that look on a green marathon, with no black plastic "headlight nose", since it got broken.
