HELP pds[former] cart no-go
I have a 06 model EZ-GO and I have put on a speed motor and an Alltrax 300 controller. Many years of service til Sat when my wife and I finished hole 8 at our club we drove to 9 tee[150 or so feet) we both got out and drove our balls[ balls] and once back in the cart no go. The solenoid does click both when the throttle is mashed and then several seconds after it it let off of, just as it has for years. The light on top of the controller[ after it identifies itself with 4 blinks] comes on and stays on after cycling the throttle no movement in either forward or reverse. All the batteries are clean and the volts are in the 6.6 6.6 range. any help I want to thank you in advance the weekend is rapidly getting here and my wife and I so much playing with each other. Jim

I'm far from a GC expert But got lucky with a few trial and error tactics.
Check the wiring to the motor itself. |

Which Alltrax do you have? Need to hook up a computer and check things out. Also put the rear up in the air to keep it from running over anyone and press the go pedal to the floor. Green light should go to amber if the throttle circuit is working.

The Alltrax control you describe should be giving you a fault code when you try to go and the cart will not move. Can you jack one wheel off the deck, remove the seat, and tell us what that code is?

Re: HELP pds[former] cart no-go
My first thought when it wouldn't go was the throttle switch. You know what they say about first impressions they are generally the right one, While testing this morning Pins 1 and 2 I got a reading of 14,1 with the throttle off all the way to the floor? 14.1. This leads me to think the ITS coil is bad, so when I get back to it I'm gonna pull up the mat and check some more. I found some on E-Bay in the
$25-$30 range. I called a dealer he said $184.28. Now this cart had water damage but that was 13 years ago. Thanks guys for the help oh by the way the pack voltage is 38.4 . I'm sure someone will ask . Jim |
