Default Re: Looking for Newer Gas Cart! Why Yamaha?

Should have also mentioned...the EZGO dealer in my area carries the STAR units. He refuses to sell the electric EZGO's due the 36V, 300 amp limitation on these carts (he carries the gas EZGO's and the 48V, 400 amp 6 seater electric EZGO's). He worked for EZGO for 30 years before he opend his current dealership...he loves the STAR units.

I am a star dealer and I have had good luck with them with minimal maintainence issues, besides all the electronics are made by curtis and the batts are trojans and the motors are made somewhere in upstate N.Y.I think it is the same company that makes the motors for the ezgo pds cars.

Golfcarfixer: Just took delivery. I'm pretty happy with it except for one very significant issue. Top end suffers dramatically if I am on any sort of incline. Just a 5% incline results in top end decreasing from ~20mph to ~10mph. Something must be wrong...haven't been able to get a return call from my dealer yet.

Is this a programming issue? These cars don't have swappable chips like the EZGO's so I'm unsure how to try to rectify this.

Any help???

The government is giving a heck of a deal on those certain electric units, hard to pass up. Problem with electric is you can't take the governor off and go twice as fast.

I dunno, I would not be surprised if in a decade the majority of carts and cars are from China no matter what the company.
