G22 sterter generator
Had to replace the fuel pump on my g22, but now the starter want turn the motor over the battery was weak but now has a new one and still want turn at first i could help it get started by turning the motor over by hand but now it want hit. I checked the starter and it has 12 Volts when the gas pedal is pressed so do you think the starter is shoot or is there a way to check it to see if its bad or might need new bushings?
Thanks |

Re: G22 sterter generator
Don't buy anything yet!
Need to check all of your cables and connections first. Funny thing about volts and Amps is you can get a volt reading at the starter of 12V but if you have a loose or corroded conection or cable causing resistance you will not get the "amps" to turn the starter. Double check/clean everything even if it looks good. Then maybe brushes! |
