They didn't even come out to look when I licensed mine (Ariz). And I have them tipped down to the road at this point, when it goes up north, I will reajust them alittle. If you are gonna go st. legal, (and I would)I would maybe just try driving ( the $20 to $30 verity) lights from the discount auto parts stores. Then add an additional off road set later. I was just hoping not to have the extra clutter on mine.
Check out harbor freight any way, these are pretty nice!-u.s. gereral 6" offroad light-model 95811 $15.00 ea.
Sorry, I don't have a picture of them with the covers off.

When we build street legal carts here in MI they have to be inspected before any signoffs on paperwork will be given. We have to have highbeams with either an indicator of some sort or a lighted switch so that you know if they are on or off. Once everything is inspected, signed off, and liscensed I don't really think you would have any problems if you only had one set of lights.

$15.00 for those lights sounds like a good deal. I might have to check those out.

I've been told they are pretty lax here in AZ. they didn't check for ins. All I needed was a title, brake lights, head lights, muffler, horn, and a gas cap... and a footrest for the driver! Said I need to go have an emmision test- when I got there, They said it could not be tested cause it had no neutral( I played dumb) so they waived it and sent me on my way. I would get Ins. anyway. (Farmers Ins. Co.)cheap!
Good luck you guys,

Wow a gas cap and an emmisions test. Those are two things that I would not have guessed they would check. At least not on a cart anyways.

Ya, you'd be surprised at some of the stuff running around here. Cars last a long time here ( no rust) and tons of ilegals running stuff that barely runs. Amazing!

Weather is rainy and crappy here in Michigan this weekend, good time to tie up some loose ends on the G9. I finished the rockers and flares on the passengers side, had some diamond plate left so I used a piece on the front frame just behind the bumper to fill in the gap as well as mount the lights. I used to have 4 lights but only went with 2 now...less clutter. I still would like to recover the seats, if anyone has someone they deal with that is reasonable and does good work let me know. I would like to redo the front and back seats...probably black with red stripe.
Almost ready for spring!!!!!!!
