Default g1 and the choke

first off i have to say that i have NEVER owned or seen a 2 stroke engine i really like....they either run bad when cold and good when warm or good when cold and bad when warm. I like my cart but wish it was a 4 stroke (i will probly big block it some day).

so my g1 needs the choke to get going when its cold (thats no big deal and completely understandable). but its sluggish on take off and really wont reach its full speed unless you hold the choke out. Once the thing gets hot (up to operating temp) you have to hold the choke almost all the time to keep it going. Any ideas?

i just want pointed in the right direction before i go messin with stuff

Yep mine started real hard when cold, i replaced the leaky seal on the flywheel side today and it starts great now, made an amazing difference. Do a search for "G1 crank seal replacement" all the info is there. i spent about 4 hours doing it but had never done it before and took alot of time just cleaning out the gunk.
