Default Anything I missed?

I bought an 88 Club Car, which by now I'm sure you know.

I have replaced
the Brake Pads (shoes)
Belts
Oil
One Brake cable that was busted
fuel filters
air filter
Spark plug

I am taking it on the course for the first time on Thursday... can you guys think of anything i missed to get her Ready to ride? It runs good, but is a little sluggish going up hills. I'm super bored, so I'm just checking...
thanks,
Cmoney

LOL... I have tripled checked that, i also made sure to drink plenty of beer while working on it to make sure it could handle the drink minimum of riders!

^^^

One of the first times I worked on my cart after I bought it I realized why people like these things so much. They come with a built in place to put your beer while you're wrenching!!! What a great idea!! :)

As for the list of things to check/service you could add the rear axle. Dump and refill the fluid back there. Another good maintenance item is greasing the front end components (tie rod and drag link) and even repacking the front wheel bearings.

Thanks for the heads up on the Rear axle fluid change. I didn't think that old of a cart had a Diff to change the oil in, i just assumed it was a straight axle with bearings on the ends.

On the Front Greasing, are there just grease zerts i need to find?
thanks,
C

I don't know for sure on your rear axle set up since I've only ever worked on my 96 DS but I would assume there is a drain plug located on their somewhere. May want to do some research as to what fluid to use and how much to use. There is a maintenance thread in the "sticky" part of this forum with some info on flushing and filling the transaxle but that thread is for 92 and newer carts so yours may be different.

As for the front end there are zerts on the ball joints at the ends of the tie rod as well as on the ball joint on the drag link. I can't remember for sure but you may want to check the spindle as well for a zert as there may be one there to grease the kingpin. I'll have to check on my old stock front end tonight cause I don't remember.

EDIT: I just went and read through the maintenance sticky again and in there it says there are zerts on the front spindles so don't forget to hit those with the grease gun while you're in there.

For the trans-axle fluids, see my post (#8 ) in this thread:

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...ds-change.html

Disregard the 93 FE290 oil change part... you have an 88 KF82 flat head engine,
But, the trans axles are pretty much the same!
