Re: Broke another...
I suppose you could, but just for a few days, eventually that snubber will break, you'll loose your "stabilizer",
and you'll be left stranded again somewhere in the back 9! |

Re: Broke another...
It can defiantly be a pain in the... ummm... neck! The only way I can describe it is... jack the engine pan up so the snubber bracket is off of the frame, and slide the snubber in from the side, between the frame rail, and over the bracket. It may seem like it won't go on that way, but it will! With a bit of determination, a few cuss words and a few beers... you'll get it! |

Re: Broke another...
I did some investigating (i looked at the cart) and it looks like the bar that the snubber mounts to you can unbolt... is that true? If thats the case, i think i can just brace the motor tray, and un bolt that. Put the new one on and bolt it back up... that sound possible?

Re: Broke another...
It looks like that would work judging by what I can see in the picture. What year is your cart? I can take a look at mine ('96) tonight and see if I agree with that idea after looking at it in person.
If that would work it sure seems like the easiest way to go about it. I've never really paid much attention to mine other than to look at and figure out what it was when I first got the cart. |

Re: Broke another...
Well... would ya' look at that! I saw the bolts in the previous pics, but I also saw the weld,
looking at it closer, there are two plates, one welded to the pan, and the other bolted to it! (it even looks like the front bolt is a little loose!) So yeah... support the engine pan, and unbolt it, put on the new snubber, and reinstall! Piece of cake! |
