gas pedal sticking after released
Hello all,
i have a 2000 model club car lifted cart and here lately when you release gas pedal, the motor stays running almost like at idle speed. Cart does not move, just wont shut off until you either turn the key off or if you smack black box under seat it will stop. Any suggestions appreciated!! Thanks |

I have this same issue and I diagnosed it as dieseling engine run on from bad gas but if I pull gas pedal back the engine stops ..I think my problem is the same I am interested to see what is said..

mine will not stop when pulling up on pedal, only when smacking black box or shutting off key switch............maybe something inside sticking, just havent had time to open up and look into it!! No pun intended...........and yes this is a great forum, has helped me out with many of my problems..

could be either your throttle cable hanging up or one of the microswitches in the box acting up...

doesnt have cable to this box, believe its a rod...........even if you pull all way up on pedal it still runs, will take box apart prob this weekend and see whats going on........heck, either fix it or tear it up right!!!
