ok....I have replaced the two microswitches by the solenoid and the solenoid as well. The cart used to start when you turned the key to the ON position and it wouldn't stop until I turned the key to the OFF position. Now after replacing these parts, the cart only starts when i jump the solenoid and won't turn off unless i jump the solenoid again. I need some serious help with this.....I'm about to pull my hair out!!!!

Ok are you in maint. mode? and have you looked at allyour wires to make sure there are no shorts or grounds

It is not in maintenance mode and I have looked all over for a short and everything looks perfect. That's why this is so maddening. Keep the suggestions coming though. . .

Ok look at the black box by the battery you should see 2 micro switches stacked on top of each other. there should be two wires to one and three to the other make sure that they are all hooked up I think its the black wire that might be unhooked.

it was the accelerator microswitch.

Question on that. I have a 1990. Does any one have a picture of the black box to see what the microswitches look like when pedal not pushed or motor off and what it looks like when you push the pedal I am fixing mine tomorrow.
Also where do you put the cart in and out of maintainence mode?  |
