Club Car DS average speed
I searched for this but did not find it...If I missed it I do apologize.
I read the sticky about turning up the cart. I adjusted the throttle rod out several turns but no where near to make it wobbly. With my GPS, it netted me to 12 mph on flat ground. How much more can I go before I start doing damage? Surely there is more to be gained? I would like to avoid buying the tach and the GPS is the easiest way to not do that....just need a stopping point. It will be used at the drag strip with my wife trucking down the return road to tow me back. |

Re: Club Car DS average speed
It's more a matter of engine RPM's than it is speed. I have an FE-290 with a 6" lift, 23x12" tires, and the only engine mod I've done is zip tying the governor and I get 23mph at 3800 RPM's. from everything I've read, you just want to avoid running more than 4000 RPM's consistently.

Re: Club Car DS average speed
Hello : I have a cc precedent and when i got it it did 13 MPH . I searched for some info to get more speed but was unable to be sure of what to do . My other cart is a g16 Yamaha and it goes 16 MPH so I wanted this newer cart to ba at least that fast.I ended up loosing the axel governor and now get 21 MPH with the factory wheels. The trouble with this is it hits the rev limiter now . I want to reconect the rear governor now and may do the Zip-tie trick .
