Pioneer 1200
Club car pioneer 1200,
Revs up then clunks into gear hard? Takes several seconds and fairly high rpms to engage and clunks hard when it does engage. Is this normal? |

Not normal. Check the driven clutch. That's the one on the transmission. I'd bet the spring is wound up and/or missing one of the rubber bumpers. The belt should be at the top of the pulley while stopped or idling.

Re: Pioneer 1200
That drive belt looks original, or just really... REALLY worn!
There's WAY too much distance between the drive clutch sheave and belt! Here's a pic of mine: Stainless Header 007.jpg IMO... try a new drive belt first! if that doesn't help, then then it's time to inspect both clutches for worn parts! |

I'm finding two options for engines with different belts online. How do I tell engine which is in my cart?

Re: Pioneer 1200
There should be a tag on your engine cowl:
001 (2).JPG Code#: FE290D = 9.5 hp FE350D = 11.5 hp But, it may also depend on the year of your cart, are the any numbers still printed on your drive belt? (see my previous pic!) |

Pretty sure it is the original belt. I got the number off of it and still can't find one Googleing the number. Written on belt- CLUB CAR INC 1021884 DF
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371558707.993091.jpg Thanks for the info on the sticker on engine, I took some photos this am before leaving for work and the sticker happened to be in one.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371558686.413165.jpg Fe350 on sticker. Any recommendations on where to get the belt? I'm also fixing up a couple of ez go electric carts and would like to stick with one reputable source for all parts if possible. |

Re: Pioneer 1200
Even my CC dealer doesn't have that belt number listed on his website!
I'd check with Cart Parts Plus, they may be able to cross reference your belt number, and get you a replacement! (my "go to" Club Car supplier) CPP has EZ-GO stuff too, But, Scottyb (Carts Unlimited) is coming up to be the EZ-GO Electric specialist! http://www.cartpartsplus.com/ http://www.cartsunlimited.net/ Hope this helps! |
