Workhorse Fuel Gauge Does Not Work
Where does the fuel gauge on a 2004 workhorse get power? I replaced the dash gauge and the tank sending unit and still no gas gauge.

Re: Workhorse Fuel Gauge Does Not Work
The wiring diagram is in the manual, it will tell you. i'm thinking power for it is off the key switch but I hardly ever remember things like that cause I know I can look it up in the manual.

Re: Workhorse Fuel Gauge Does Not Work
I just put a new gage in mine, while replacing it, I noticed that the previous owners had the wires backwards, one side is for power and the other goes to the sending unit, they had them backwards.
I bought my gage at Napa, it was exactly like the original in the unit and yes, one side is hot from the switch when the key is on Clint |
