Default clutch

I have an 83 Marathon, lifted with stock motor and the drive clutch seems to be slipping. I thought it was the belt but it will rev to about 50% rpm and won't move if you have any pressure on the brake. The belt is not slipping. Are these rebuildable?? On a steep incline it will stop moving and engine will rev. I'm sure it's not the belt.
