proper belt size
what is the proper belt tension for my ez go??? when i let off the gas the clutches are not letting go of the belt and cousing my engine to sound like it is doing what a diesel does when engine breaking and causing my cart to slow down really fast. I have about 1 1/2" deflection in my belt. the cart will sit and idle without grabbing but dont like the slow down when traveling. honda 24 hp stock drive clutch with blue power spring two stroke rearend with stock driven clutch cart will pull front tires off ground with 500lbs sitting on it but dont kow if still not working properly new to the carting world but enjoying it so far

Re: proper belt size
Sounds like the clutches are working as they should. They should help you decelerate down a hill etc.

Re: proper belt size
i think i figured out what my problem was on the driven clutch there are 3 different holes that the spring can go in i had it in the first hole i have moved it into lhe last hole and now it doesnt jump as hard on the take off and when i let off the gas it rolls without slowing down, I may try the spring in the middle hole to see what happens... these carts are a lot of fun im new to all this and learning as i go
