Fuel in the oil
2015 valor txt with Kawasaki 13.5 hp engine that is a campground cruiser, changed the oil last weekend after it sat all winter and can smell fuel in the oil, didn't check the level on the dip stick before I changed it, didn't notice anything wrong last fall and when I put it away for the winter I turned off the fuel shut off valve and ran the carb dry, took it out of storage and it after it pulled fuel from the tank it fired right up, been noticing a fuel smell when I have been driving it and than I changed out the oil last weekend, I did run it for over an hour straight on sunday, I do have about 2 weeks before the warranty expires but the dealer is over 1.5 hours away, any suggestions? I will look at the plug this weekend and see how it looks.

Re: Fuel in the oil
Take a look at your carb. Pull the bowl off and make sure there isn't a piece of crud between the needle and the seat. Sounds to me like maybe your carb is overflowing.

Re: Fuel in the oil
Usually when you find fuel in the oil it is a failed fuel pump. Because these systems are pump fed not gravity fed any excess fuel from a leaky needle would get burned not injested. Pull the pulse line off to look for fuel while it is running. Jack stands and locked in neutral of course.

Re: Fuel in the oil
Thanks for the heads up, we were going out to the camper today but with the low around freezing I just may have to go and pick the cart up tomorrow and bring it home
