No spark.
I have a 1999 Lifted EZgo Txt, s/n 1198523. It's a 2 cyl engine.
My problem is that the engine won't fire up. The problem started with the engine running badly and backfiring. It finally quit and now has no spark. I've never fooled around with a small gas engine and am reading everything I can about what makes it run. If anybody can advise me on how to check out the coil, igniter and pulser, it would be appreciated. Also, if asked, what kind of engine is in this cart? Maybe a Robin? Or something else? No help here.
Twiddled a whole bunch of wires and got the cart running, but it quit again. By then, I had buttoned up the engine and couldn't get to the ignitor, so I just wiggled the coil wires and she ran again. I replaced the connectors and life is good. |
