Engine hour question
With all the engine issues we've been dealing with on CarryAlls lately, I began wondering what the general consensus was among the forum members as to how many hours you've seen on these Kawasaki FE engines that represented a typical service life. Now, I'm very aware that maintenance is the main driver to reliability and durability so maybe it makes sense to ask this question assuming at least yearly service on the engine.
For example, on the two carryalls I'm working with now, the following is the situation (both 2000 CarryAll Turf II's): Cart 1: 1300 hours and blew the engine. Installed new FE350. Cart 2: 1700 hours. Engine runs like a top. How many hours have you guys been able to get out of your FE engines prior to rebuild? |

Re: Engine hour question
The stock engine in my 94 ds had 1865 hours on it when I pulled it to go big block(still was running when I pulled it) I know as I snapped a pic of the hour meter before I pulled the engine.
