Ring/piston visual check...via muffler outlet?
Yamaha G22A '03
Has anybody ever visually checked the rings and piston by taking off the muffler and looking in the exhaust hole? I saw a guy on youtube do it on an old clubcar and clearly saw a ring was gone and the piston was wiggling around in the cyl. |

You can do it on a two stroke engine but not a four stroke. With a bore scope into the spark plug hole you could see damage but not the rings themselves.
