G1 governor bypass and accelerator spring
Just bought g1 with governor bypassed. Throttle cable goes directly to carb. Problem is when you let off gas pedal throttle stays open or moves back slowly. Im thinking its 1me of 2 things. Either my throttle cable is going bad.....or I need a return spring on the carb to pull closed when I let off accelerator. Anybody have any suggestions?

Re: G1 governor bypass and accelerator spring
Most will leave all the stock throttle linkage hooked up and just drill the governor lever out on the transaxle so it doesn't grab. Do a search there are some good photos here about how to do that. If you have your linkage that's the way to go.
