Re: Starter problem
Wow this was very helpful and saved me some $$$. I did a bench test on the starter with my battery charger and found the starter operated properly. Next reinstalled starter, tested resting battery and got 12.5v, when applying start voltage dropped to 11.4v. So today I will replace battery and probably solve my problem.. I looked and it was 6 years old anyway...

Re: Starter problem
Nice. I had a feeling it was going to be the battery.

Re: Starter problem
i put an optima battery, on my golf cart. 2 bills i paid for that thing, wife cussed me for spending that much money. but the darn thing never fails. over kill? maybe......but i play the radio all the time, leave my lights on so my drunk friends can see at night.
funny thing about this, wifes battery went out on her car, just last week. and she insisted on an optima. ( looking down at the ground shaking head sideways.......) |
