I put the zip-tie on to get more speed. Might just bypass the governor or do the mod to the arm once i put the lift an tires on.

Not what i'm talking about. Talking about the area where input shaft seal is. Bearing cannot be changed from outside transmission, if trans is opened a new gasket is mandatory. Detent screw and ball have to be removed. And due to shim on input shaft that can fall into transmission, this job should not be done with trans in vehicle.

Guess I'm not sure then what area you are talking about. The more important question would be if this is something I should worry about or just monitor?

If you desire to replace the input shaft seal, get the spacer. If you have the rear clutch apart for any other reason, get the spacer. Otherwise, just monitor it.

The pic sorta shows where snapring, input shaft and input shaft seal are. Spacer would replace snapring, and goes behind spring seat.

Thanks! Different transaxle, but parts illustration shows everything needed.

Got it! Thanks guys for the help. I'm going to try and clean it up better and go from there. Might bite the bullet and get something from Plowman's sooner than later!

Received my lift today! Still waiting on the wheels and tires. It's snowing again so no big hurry I guess?!

Back to the input seal...I am going to be doing some clutch work. Either Plowmans or Tom's from CPP. Questions is, I know the seal is leaking, can this be replaced from the outside without splitting the transaxle case? Would like to stop the leaking. I understand the spacer, but that won't stop the leaking seal correct?
