Talked to Superior Battery in Kentucky. they make the Precision battery. there is a letter an numbers on the side of the battery right on the top ridge. 1H19 23 . The battery was made in Aug. of 2019.

First letter is the month then the year after that.

Not sure what the first number is but C is the third number in the alphabet which would be March then followed by 10 would be 2010. That is how it was explained to me by customer service department.

Thank you all for posting and inspiring a little confidence in the Pasco Precision batteries. I plan to pick up a set of 6 (8v) this week to replace some Batteries Plus Duracells that only lasted three years.

I attribute the short life of the last batteries to improper DIP setting on my DPI charger which I learned about after it was waaay too late.

Do any of you have a DPI charger or advice on the settings/charge rate for the Precision batteries?

I checked the chart on page 6 of the manual, but couldn't find a correlation:
