thanks for that info on Duracell manuf. A couple places say my NAPA 8144's are made by Exide.
I've had good luck with NAPA golf cart batteries including the more recent types but horrible "luck" on their industrial batteries. One guy somewhere online said you can tell the quality by the weight. The only Trojans I've had, 14, total were old and dead so of course I'm not impressed

( just wanted to find an excuse to use that rollin around guy :) )

I'd read the same, but took it as they "used" to be built by Exide but when you look at their website it does say manf by East Penn and the MSDS on NAPA batteries are from East Penn.

Now that you mention that way, yes that does sound very familiar. But do they list East Penn on the algorithm for my Delta q or do you know what NAPA 8144's should be if I ever figure how to check or set alogorthm's? As I stated somewhere else, I don't think the charge profile is set strong enough for these. The cart had Trojan t-145's.

For Napa 8144 use #71 same as the Deka / East Penn / Duracell GC8 batteries.

That will also allow You to verify you indeed loaded algorithm #71 successfully as it shows which algorithm was used to charge.

Who recommended #71 instead of #3?

They have some differences on how they "sense" the termination charge and the more strict dV/dT termination of #71 could take longer when batteries are charged in series.

Both algorithms show max voltage at 2.70vpc which would be 64.8v max voltage for the pack and an overall charge timeout of 24hrs.

So i got the data and I am currently using 71 def... it was set at 31 before... is the the default?

Profile #31 is club car OEM but its settings are not documented.

Did you get any errors or warnings?

How long did the charge take?

So ive charged them twice with using 71. No errors or warnings.

Frist time it to 10.83 hrs, 93.4 amp hours returned, starting voltage was 48.6, end of charge voltage was 61.

2nd charge with the new batteries was 8.23 hours, 61.4 amp hours returned. starting voltage at 49.6, end of charge battery voltage was 62.5
