Lester Summit Upgrade??
Having some issues with my ERIC charger. Recent storms here in Florida have been causing some brown out conditions. If I leave the charger unplugged, then plug it in, it starts working again. It’s 3 years old. Should I just get another ERIC or is a Lester an upgrade? I have brand new Trojan 875’s. The Bluetooth is a nice option but not necessary.

Re: Lester Summit Upgrade??
I picked a used one up a couple months ago when I was planning my 36v to 48v upgrade since it can be used for both. I haven't had it a long time but I like it and it seems to be favored on the forums.
Outside of tweaking the settings for your batteries you probably wont mess around with the blue tooth too much but it does have good info on it. I like the the size and weight of the Lester compared to my old charger, we take our cart camping and its nice not lugging around the big charger. You also have the option to mount it on board if thats of interest. |

Re: Lester Summit Upgrade??
I think the aftermarket smart charger like Lester Summit 2 650w offer alot more tech than any factory charger. This Summit charger also keeps a charge history which may be helpful in analyzing a battery packs health.

Re: Lester Summit Upgrade??
If I am buying new, it would be a Summit II over ERIC. If I am working on and getting that one corrected, I would pursue it. It is made by Delta-Q and there is not much to them. An ERIC or Delta-Q IC650 is a great charger as it still gives you profile programming, HF charging, etc.
