New Wheels and Tires
I’ve been bested by a piece of plastic, apparently, and the hole is too big to repair. I am having a hard time finding these tires anywhere - does anyone here have a source they can get a single one from?
If not, I’ll probably just look at new wheels and tires because I don’t want to have a mismatch and I’ve been eyeing different wheels and tires anyway - ones a little more streetable and quieter. Any ideas on sourcing a single Backlash X tire (23x10.5x12) or new wheels and tires with smoother tread that folks have liked? |

Re: New Wheels and Tires
is the hole in the sidewall or in the tread? i would think on a golf cart tire (low speed) a good tire shop would be able to patch it up from the inside.
also, you may be able to put a tube in it: https://www.amazon.com/23x10-50-12-I.../dp/B07GPVSRCC |

Discount Tire, who I generally trust (I buy a lot of tires for them for the normal cars) said it was just a bit too big to plug. I suppose I could go elsewhere, but I’d probably pay $100 or less to just get a new one and avoid being potentially turned down again. |

ah ok, i would think thats fixable... i have patched (not plugged) many low speed tires using this method but you will have to take the tire off the wheel.

Re: New Wheels and Tires
Here is a good place https://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/ to look for combo's. But I know stock is low everywhere so you will have to inquire as to lead times.

Re: New Wheels and Tires
I would try another shop for a patch to hold you over. Patches come in different sizes and being this is a low speed vehicle and even if the patch lets lose it won’t instantly blow out the tire and shouldn’t be a big safety risk.
