Re: New Build 2001 TXT Limo Project!!!
It seems like all shipping compaines, espically USPS are getting worse every day, nearly everything I order shows up looking like the box was run over by the truck, or dragged behind it it's amazing that the parts are not damaged every time! No matter how well it gets packed, cardboard can only handle so much abuse!

Re: New Build 2001 TXT Limo Project!!!
And I thought it was just me that noticed that all the major shipping companies seem to give a crap less these days! Two out of the four 20" wheels I orderd was damaged. You could clearly see on the box where it was dropped. My 700 amp controller was delivered to my neighbors. Luckily they were nice enough to bring it over. Its been one thing after the next! nothing worse than making expensive purchases and the your stuff arrives all mucked up!

Re: New Build 2001 TXT Limo Project!!!
Ok so Ive made consideral progress. Almost done just painted the top today and hopefully will get it put on and wired up for sound tommorow. I will try to get completed pics up soon. Some of the mods include ST body conversion, Axle lift, air shocks front and rear, 72 volt coversion with 700 amp GE controller, reversing contactor and 72 volt solenoind contactor, 1/0 cables on all connections, 9 trojan T890s and 1 12volt deep cell to run accesories like the 20 speaker sound system and tv dvd. Running a plum quick assasin torque motor and 20" wheels and tires. Chameleon paint, custom fabricated running boards, custom gucci seats, uhm im sure theres more but too tired at this point to think lol. Im a little over buget though but oh well. Im not charging myself labor!I have to say this has been a pretty challenging build because I either had to fabricate everything or modify parts to make this work! I reached 34 mph on flat pavement. The tourque is insane though! Even with the throttle dialed all the way down if feels like it will snap the frame!I have to check into that to make sure thats normal! Gotta call Rick or Robby at PQ.

Re: New Build 2001 TXT Limo Project!!!
Ok so Im at a bit of a snag at this point. The cart is all put together now and im realizing I was sold the wrong controller. I bought a 700A 72V GE controller which is a 0-5 throttle input. My cart has an ITS throttle input. I didnt realize this issue till testing. It dumps all available amperage to the motor as soon as the solenoid clicks. This amounts to almost axle snapping power lol which is great but like riding a bucking bull! I have found that I think I can make this controller work but will either have to change my pot box or find a its converter that will work for my 72v system. I find the 36-48 volt ones all day but havent seen one specifically for 72volts. I was told by FSIP that they will probably work but I am leary about trying it. If anyone else has ran into this issue I am all ears and open for suggestions. Thx for all the help.
