Converting 36 volt ezgo to 48
Hi everyone, I have a 2005 txt ezgo. I am trying to convert it to a 48 volt for more power and be able to use it hunting. I've got 6/8 volt batts, a 500 amp alltrax controller, a super heavy duty 48 volt solenoid, and a 4 gauge cable set up. I know I need a 48 volt charger but here is my question/ can i just get a 48 volt charger for this cart and put my plug on the charger without having to change the receptacle? Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

You can use any 'stand alone' 48v golf cart charger. Stay away from the club car chargers.

The CC 48v chargers work with the CC on board computers only

I bought a 48V charger from LVS when I converted to 48V. You specify the plug you need, or just order the one that has the plug you need I should say.

Hey Pernell how much speed and power increase did you get when you converted? I'm hoping to get up to 20mph and about 30% more power when I'm done...

It's the best upgrade you want. no controller or motor will out perform more volts but you need all of the above
I had your exact setup michael |

Re: Converting 36 volt ezgo to 48
Haha there is ALWAYS room to upgrade. I'm never done with anything till I sell it. I don't sell much unless it's to upgrade
Does that make any sense? Lol |
