Even with 100% efficiency, 3.5 Hp will only generate 72.5A @ 36V.
That might be enough to keep it moving, but you'll probably have to park it on a hill and let gravity roll-start it.  Here's a schematic for a resistor cart, but the motor has 4 terminal rather than the 3 you mentioned. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.  |
