Voltage Reducer Question

Unfortunately this discussion is spread over 2 threads but as I stated earlier in another thread, 2.4v per cell is needed for a complete charge = 14.4v for a 12v battery. So while you may think you're in you may be out of juice sooner or later. My concern would be this, since the battery never completely recharges expect it to develop an imbalance between cells or sulfate prematurely.

If I do go with a dedicated charger for the ACC battery, it will be the Cteck US3300. I already use them in other applications.

Just tapping into 2 of the batteries was my 1st thought, but hoped to find a better solution, but one thats user friendly. Since the winch will not be used often, im not too concerned drawing down 2 in a bank on occasions.

Plugging in an automotive 12v charger and attaching two alligator clips to one battery every once in a while sounds pretty user friendly to me. That same charger could be used on your car, boat, neighbor, whatever. Why reinvent the wheel?
