Default 2012 Columbia Par Car Model NEV2-CC-48A Lithium Conversion

I have replaced the 8 6Volt lead acid batteries with a 48V 100AH Lithium Battery. I have removed the onboard Delta-Q Charger and replaced it with a Lithium 48V battery. I have hooked all wiring matching connection before removing 6 V Batteries. All 12V accessories work. The cart will not move in any direction. It appears that the controller is not getting power. I am hoping to find someone with experience on this conversion. I have checked fuses all are good. Looking for someone that might help. Where to go from here?

Smile Re: 2012 Columbia Par Car Model NEV2-CC-48A Lithium Conversion

Having found the problem to be with the Charger Interlock system and bypassing this feature the cart works! I am now investigating compatibility of the 48V Lithium 100Ah battery with the cart. I have been told i should replace the batteries with the same 225Ah rating of the Lead Acid Batteries or other system components (Controller / Motor) could be damaged. I have contacted Columbia service to get clarification and will update this thread when i get their response.

Seems like a load of BS to me. 225ah rating is the capacity.

I built a 105ah pack for my 2011 Summit SUV and its been working fine. My cart I have found draws a ton of amps in spikes and could damage the BMS I have picked long term but has been working fine.

To say it would damage the motor or controller though is rediculious.
