Default New 2022 icon i40L - loss power

We bought a new 2022 icon i40l. Dealer will deliver the charger cord tomorrow. The cart had 67% battery power when we bought it. We drove the cart for maybe 30 minutes on flat ground. It quickly dropped to 60% battery power and went into limp mode (I mean barely crawling). Once it when into limp mode it lost another 10% battery power in a matter of minutes. I didn't think we were going to make it back to our camper. Is this normal? Seems like the cart lost power really quickly. Better to return the cart?

Yes pretty normal. Usually 60%'ish is pretty much dead on these carts. Just get used to 60-100% being your range.

It's very difficult to accurately measure battery power on these things. Range should be the same, but you need to get a GOOD full charge.

I'll second this, freaked me out the first time but I quickly realized I was getting the full advertised range, it's just from 100-60ish (I try to stay above 70 if I can).

Also keep in mind that you won’t get a GOOD full charge until the batteries are conditioned.

How many cycles does this typically take? I feel like my range has definitely improved a few miles with age

It’s been so long since I’ve been around my cart, but I seem to recall about 20 charging cycles for full ( at least I think) l battery capacity.
