I have the 6", so I should just take what I can get out out of it? Is it worth the trouble of leveling it?

Most people level the engine cradle (or get it close to level) because their oil light comes on at higher RPM's,
or... for a better dipstick oil level indication, which is why I did it.

With any lift, the less angle of the engine, the better!

it's your call!

I have seen a lot of methods when it comes to air intake tubes and lift kits. Study lockman's setup. You will find it is one of the cleaner setups. almost looks Factory. I ran that exact same setup until I change to a big block.
And every time somebody would buy a lift kit in my neighborhood they would come to my house and asked me to raise my seat just so they can take a look at what I have. You are already head in the game!

Is the Briggs 697122 still the best way to go to allow air intake hose to work on lifted cart?

Looks like the 697122 intake is still available everywhere for now. I'm putting a 6" lift on an '05 gas DS soon and will likely be ordering this. I'll post pics.

These havent been available for several years, I eventually quit looking for them a couple years ago and used some hose from the hardware store. Good looking out I will order one of these

From my understanding in the other thread, you still need a hose barb for the elbow as well
