I think you are right. I don't know about this firmware issue. The one I installed last weekend is working fine and the meter seems to be measuring SOC ok. That's hard to tell though without running it down pretty far. I had my buddy charge after each round of golf for a while before trusting it to go several rounds.

Hi. When you say "upgraded Curtis controllers", do you mean the stock controller has been reprogrammed, or do you need an entirely new controller to upgrade to lithium? I have a 2018 RXV that currently has 4x12v lead acid I'd like to change. It's short on range to some of the farther courses here at The Villages. I could change to 6x8v, but would love to go lithium if I don't have to spend $1000 on a new controller.

Byron was talking about a controller that was reprogrammed to make the cart go faster. You don't need a new controller to go with an aftermarket lithium pack upgrade.

Only if I see an RXV I can buy, to make a trip worthwhile. I'm three hours drive south of you.

Ecobattery sent me a tablet and I updated the firmware on the battery.

Probably too soon to tell, but played 18 holes yesterday and had no issues.

Hi! I was wondering if you have any other updates since your firmware issue? Is it resolved? I'm thinking of getting this same battery for my RXV.

Thanks in advance!

I recently installed this battery in a buddies RXV and he loves it. No issues.
