Default Welding and modding a G29

Do I need to unhook the batteries/electronics if I weld to the structure of the cart? On vehicles its suggested to unhook the battery...whats the procedure for electric carts? I plan on building some racks and other accessories for my G29. Do unhook all the batteries? I am still learning...
Thank you

Yes, unhook batteries. A welder typically puts out ~24v, but it can still fry stuff (even metal ). And if you have added anything grounded to the frame (A BIG NO-NO), disconnect that too.
