EZ go clutch problem
I recently bought a 83 Ez go gas golf cart that was torn apart, engine out of the cart and most accessories off. The previous owner was planning on scraping it because he had no idea how to fix it so he tore it apart. Took me about a week but I have it all put back together and it runs like a top, but it won't move. The clutch is spinning when the engine revs but will not slide in and grip the belt. It is missing the clutch bolt, I bought a 5 1/2 inch fine thread hex bolt but when I look in the clutch it looks like the bolt hole at the bottom is plugged, I can't tell if the old bolt had snapped or if someone used something to plug the hole. On the other side of the clutch it has hard Black substance on the pipe by the belt that looks like it oozed out at one point. Not sure if that's normal or some idiot tried to felx seal it lol.. Suggestions?
