Which wire is factory fused? Red or Yellow? Do you have the range setting at the appropriate position on your multi-meter? MadJax makes a VERY nice reducer that offers both outputs. Its around $130-$150, but WELL worth it for the peace of mind.
Thanks. The fuse is built into the radio, so I assume it protects both lines.
I tested on on mA and 10A settings on my DVM. I can double check my numbers.
I have looked at the MadJax reducer and considering it.

Check both wires next time so we can hammer down for sure which one is your main pwr source. I originally bought an 18amp supply and quickly figured out I would overload it down the road. The MadJax is 30amp which is plenty big enough to run my head/tail lights, rear work lights, undercarriage lights, an amber warning stick on the rear, and a 100w siren.

I'm a volunteer firefighter and live a block away from the station and sometimes ride my cart to answer a call. That would be cool to have on a cart! I've thought about some LED red lights, but after 28 years of service I guess I'm getting too old for that stuff.

We outfit quite a few carts here for an aircraft manufacturer. They use them as first responders since it is quicker to get someone out of the plant and to the gate than to get an escort for an ambulance to go in. Let me know if you are interested. We are always willing to help public safety out.

Thanks! I really don't need it, my cart right now is about 14 mph tops. Sorry I didn't mean to hijack this thread.
