Re: Micro switch wiring help
Alright so in this pic - I took the green wire off the solenoid and put it on the MS where the wire was missing - took the red wire that was hooked up to the battery to the reverse beeper and aftermarket lights and held it to the solenoid while hitting accelerator. The solenoid finally clicked and the cart acted like it wanted to move but it didn't go, you could feel it trying. PICs below

Well after I did that and sat on the cart ready to take it for a spin, I turned the main switch to ON the turned the lights to ON. Lights came one saw blue flickering reflection, turned lights off, turned them back on blue flickering again and then they went out and cart won't move nor will solenoid click..... Bank showing 38v on my meter but it's probably 37.5. I've ordered another solenoid in hopes that one could be bad somehow. I can't seem to find one exactly like it. I ordered a 36v for this cart and they look nothing alike. I am willing to bet someone stuck 12v solenoid on the cart.. |

Re: Micro switch wiring help
Basically in the second diagram I need to take a wire, hook it where the MS is missing one, then hook that to the big terminal on the solenoid that stays hot?

Re: Micro switch wiring help
Yes, connect the terminal with the missing wire to the solenoid's large terminal that has the cable from the main positive battery terminal.
The solenoid activation circuit is a bit strange since B+ goes through the pedal switch while B- goes through the keyswitch and the microswitches on the F/R assembly. Hopefully none of the switches were blown when you moved the green wire. |
