Power Drive Chargers???
I have a Powerdrive 2 charger and a Powerdrive 3 charger. Can anyone tell me the difference in the two? I am also wondering if I were to sell one which one should I keep. I only have two because I thought my charger died but it was the OBC. So now I am going to get rid of one.

I asked the same question a while back, but I can't locate that thread right now. As I recall the answers I received stated that the Power Drive 3 has a little bit different charging algorithm in it. I personally would keep the PD 3, as it is a newer unit. Aflyer |

Re: Power Drive Chargers???
As far as charging the PowerDrive 2 and 3 are compatible.
The Powerdrive3 relay board has some extra circuit in the activation that allows the newer OBC to detect when the relay voltage suppression device has failed. The older OBC designed for the PowerDrive2 will not take advantage of that feature. |

I think it was David (TahoeDawg) that told me the PD3's hit a little harder on intial start-up. And it could also be the algorithm in mine since it is an '07 and his is a '96 as Sergio was pointing out. |

Re: Power Drive Chargers???
They're both good chargers. I prefer the PD2 because it's smaller, doesn't get as hot, and repair parts are MUCH cheaper.
