Wheel fit question: 2014 CC PRECEDENT. Can I fit a 4x110 3.5x3.5 offset wheel....
Onto my stock hubs? My understanding is the bolt pattern is 4 x 110mm with a 3.5x3.5 offset. I'm unsure as to what that offset means in respect to my stock hubs. What I mean by that is it is a centered offset measurement, and I thought that most aftermarket wheels that are 8" wide have a 4 x4 offset. Just making sure a 3.5 would work just the same. Any input is valued.

Inches dimension Times 25.4 = MM . MM dimension divided 25.4 = Inches. . edit :nevermind you have a 7 " rim now .I did the math .switching to a 8" rim ...with the same offset (4+4) is same as (3.5+3.5) you will have a 1/2 inch less clearance in the inside of the rim , less turning clearance per say !! but thats only if you dont change tires as well , if you buy a different./wider tire you will have even less clearance and maybe start to rub and need spacers |

Most aftermarket wheels are 7 inches wide with a 3:4 offset. 3 inches from the inside of the wheel to the hub flange and 4 inches from the outside of the wheel to the hub flange. This will "offset" the wheel away from the steering and the front suspension to allow a wider tire room to fit without scrubbing on your front end parts. I've seen Precedents before that belonged to some of my customers with E-Z-GO "Zero-Offset" wheels on them. There's about 1/32" of air between the tie rod end and the inside of the wheel. I highly recommend the offset wheels, or a one inch wheel spacer if you're gonna run the centered wheels.

I went with the 1 inch spacer/lug adaptor. You’ve got to have 4x100 and a 4x110 wheel won’t work. So the offset change was negated.
