Pre 93 Front suspension question
I just started my winter 1990 ds project. Decided to start with the front suspension since that is where the most damage was known to be (somebody smashed into something real good)
For the pre 93 A plates, should there be lateral movement on both the clevis and support side? For instance if I have it bolted into the support, should I be able to move the unbolted clevis end left and right about a quarter of an inch? It looks like the bolt fits in the support just fine, so maybe the bronze bushing is worn? the bolt does move a little in the bushing. Or maybe it is a golf cart so the suspensions aren’t as tight? Thinking if I might need to replace them, I then ask: Is there really any benefit to the post 93 A plate? If I decided to go with the post 93 A plates, besides the A plates, and the two straps, would I need to replace the tower and clevis as well? |
