Lowering my 2011 GAS TXT
my TXT is currently lifted with 14" tires and wheels.. I have a project Yamaha G2 that I'm getting close being finished with, and was thinking about lowering my TXT..
Anyone else here have any information about lowering a cart? Would love to hear how you went about it and some pictures of the lowered cart. Thanks |

If it's a dropped axle lift you need a stock axle and on the back you have to move the springs back to under the axle.

It appears that it has dropped spindles.. with a straight front axle.

Re: Lowering my 2011 GAS TXT
That's easy enough to do.. I saw that there was a little to lower an electric cart.. but not for gas carts. What's the big issue if it's that easy?
Stock spindles will put it back to factory height.. what if you want it lower? |

Re: Lowering my 2011 GAS TXT
Ezgo offers a factory lowering axle. Looks just like a lift axle, just opposite. Usually, factory Ezgo is expensive, so I would encourage you to check out our site sponsors. Looks like they're running about 160-170 for the kit. Of course you could always cut and reweld the stock axle if you're cheap like me.

I have a straight axle with drop spindles for my lift.. would like to leave my stuff alone, might want to go back to the lifted look.. right now just toying with the idea of the in the weeds look..
