Still in Florida
I just woke a bit ago, had to get some much needed sleep after over 26 hours of being awake and travelling the state. I absolutely MUST return home today, and I am still trying to make contact with my dying friend or his wife. I don't know if he is still alive, no answer on any phones, so I will have to drive to the house and hope that someone is there. I have heard from a few of you via PM, and tried to make some calls before I start my return trip north. I'm at a friends in Lakeland at the moment, getting ready to pack the car and be on my way to Clearwater Beach. I will try calling again before I leave FL. Todd, I do not know where that exit is, but I can certainly return to the eastern route on my way back north. wingnut2000, I will try to call you as well.

Re: Still in Florida
Just wanted to post an update. Contact was made with my dying friend, was able to visit, and finish with a few more stops. Todd was too far to the southeast to return, I had already passed by his location twice prior. I stopped to visit Notocer, then I made contact with wingnut2000 and stopped by there on my return. I hit the start of heavy holiday weekend traffic about 50 miles south of Atlanta, spent the day in bumper to bumper stop and go traffic for over a hundred miles. Been resting, recuperating from the trip.

Thanks Bob after the s/w upgrade cart braking much better. With the higher speed the stopping quicker makes a difference.

Re: Still in Florida
I wanted to let everyone know that my friend in Clearwater Beach passed away on June 17th. I was not informed until yesterday.
I'm glad I made it there in time. |
