Default Solenoid problem???

My solenoid clicks when I push gas. I get q2 volts to the 1st main bolt. I have continuity thru both sets of bolts big and small separately. With pedal dressed I get only 4 to 5 volts on 2nd main bolt and engine isn't turning over all the way. Is solenoid bad???

a fully charged battery will be 12.6. Make sure to clean or replace all of your cable ends at the battery, the starter/generator and the solenoids. The cable ends corrode over time and create voltage drop.

I ended up replacing all my cables and ends due to an intermittent no crank and have not had an issue since and it cranks over much faster.

If your battery is 12+ on the side that comes from the battery is that low you definitely have a connection issueb

It might drop a little from 12.* your battery is at rest due to load starter is making, but not much unless your battery is toast. Good battery it should be 12 it does not take much power to spin the starter unless the brushes are bad. Connection issues are VERY common, but cheap to fix usually, so check all that first.
