Default Bone head move....help?

EZGO MPT, 48 V. was installing a State of Charge meter and slipped and shorted across the posts on the ignition switch when metering to figure out which one to hook the jumper wire to. Now the reverse beeper comes on when the key is turned off in forward and reverse, not nutral, no lights and will not move. Beeper doesn't come on when key is turned on, no lights, will not move. Replaced ignition and F/R switch and same thing. Have checked solenoid and have power there. I have 52 v to an extra set of wires in the ignition switch area.

It sounds like you shorted your battery banks voltage to the 12V output terminal of your DC converter and may have burned out the converter.

Newby here. Would that be the speed controller? I haven't seen a "converter" mentioned in the service and repair manual I downloaded.

Mpt? So basically you touched .. Check the fuse going to the controller should at the controller. Sounds like the controller cranked out.

I checked all of the fuses I could find and they were all still good including the one attached to the side of the controller. I have power at the solenoid but it doesn't click when I push the pedal. I haven't checked power at the micro switch under the floor board yet but I can hear it click.
