Default EX-GO Robin 295 Timing Idler Pulley Bearing

Timing Belt Idler bearing froze/rusted and broke belt. New idler is $250. What?

Anyone have an inexpensive alternative to this gold plated idler? Can the bearing be pressed out? Just need a solution...Thanks in advance

I would press it out :) then take it a parts store and let them get you one.

Napa is GREAT for matching bearings up. Press it out, and measure width, OD and ID with a set of calipers. Bring the calipers with you (and the old bearing) to the store with you and double check to make sure the measurements match.

A bearing is a bearing. Metric bearings can be hard to find, if NAPA doesn't have one, then you can find them online for less since you would have the measurements of the old bearing.

Hey Thanks for the replies. I'm going to try and press it apart if it isn't too rusty. There are some bearing places (Atlanta) nearby and hopefully I can go the cheap way.

I appreciate your feedback and guidance.

Hey Dirtyoda,

Thank you for the offer. I found a used one at a local golf cart shop for $20. I truey appreciate the help from each of you. Hopefully I'll get it running this weekend and Mama can ride her toy.
