Good info in this thread.
My belt seems to slip when it gets wet... while simply driving across my backyard with a slight hill (does not compare to these guys that offroad their carts).

StoveBolt's advice is what I followed. I bought a Gates (6098?) and it gave results like the shorter one he referred to. But it was a struggle to get it on. When I did my engine swap I cut it off but had no need to if I had kept the stock engine. After about 10-15 hours the top speed was back to original.

I highly recommend the belt change.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help and update my solution. Maybe, it will help someone else.

I put on a Gates 6098 belt and no more slipping. I even tried to get stuck in the mud and the tires were spinning! That would have never happened before. It's not gonna break any speed records but it just keeps chugging along no matter what i drive through.

That's great. As the belt breaks in you will regain some speed too.
